The Test: Saturn in Pisces - March 7
Saturn begins in Aquarius as the year opens continuing his test of tech companies, digital currencies, social justice, and liberating movements.
As Saturn leaves his home territory of Aquarius and enters mystical Pisces reality is harder to determine. Saturn likes order and Pisces has no boundaries and no rules. Saturn will do his best to test the waters and make some rules, perhaps offering us an opportunity to dream a new reality into being. This is a beautiful time to structure your Spirituality and connect with the world of Spirit. To communicate with the wise and magnificent Gaia, Undines, and water spirits. We may find the ethereal realm reaching through to the earth; and the earthly uplifted by magic, mysticism, and compassion. Find practical purposeful routines to assist your creativity and artwork. Take control of your addictions and mental health. This is the perfect time for a teacher to appear and show you the way. Follow the disciplined, tried, and true Masters. This can also express as reaching the limits of spirituality and imagination, denoting a time (Saturn) to put in real-world work and manifest something.

More personally, an ex-lover may show up, it is a good time to re-evaluate your relationships and your investments. Expect fashion, beauty, and sports to make unexpected changes for kinder reasons. Those industries could take a “hit” during this time and reverse course. Once Venus goes direct investments and money should grow as Venus is benefic, however, major reversals happen during retrogrades. Beware volitile swings in the stock market could reverse course quickly.
2023 Full Astrology report
The New Year begins with Mars retrograde in Gemini slowing down actions and forward momentum. Mercury is also in Retrograde in Capricorn causing mixed messages about governments, banks, and corporations. Saturn is testing the limits of the Aquarian ideals of liberty, freedom, and technology that he started in March of 2020 with the onslaught of the Pandemic. Pluto is still in Capricorn bringing the final scandals and transformations of wealth and power that began in 2008 with that financial meltdown. It may seem like the same old story of the last few years, systems breaking down and the old way fading. And in a way, that is true, 2023 marks the end of that twist of fate. However, this year marks a beginning and an important preview of what is next. The future is crystallizing into a new, lighter, awakening form.
Let me explain why astrologers predict new beginnings and dramatic changes continuing. Let's recap recent dramatic cycles before we look at the four outer planets shifting signs this year to get a clearer picture.
Look at the dynamic cycles that have ended and are in the process of rebirthing:
The triple conjunction of Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn on December 21, 2020;
The Great convergence of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius started a new 200-year cycle changing an earth cycle to an air cycle.
The Venus star point changed to Libra/Pisces for the first time in 150 years (2022). Venus has not created a star point in Libra since the 1770s. Venus rules Libra so balance, fairness, and justice will prevail. Mars, the god of war, ruled the previous Starpoint.
With so many new cycles ending/beginning, we are on the verge of an entirely new chapter for humanity. New beginnings mark endings, too. Endings can be fraught with chaos, fear of uncertainty, and roller-coaster experiences. I can't help but notice Comet C/2022 E3 sweeping by on February 1 in the constellation of Corona Borealis (the crown). It was last orbiting the earth when Homo sapiens and Neanderthals lived 50,000 years ago. A time when humanity experienced an evolutionary jump.
The renowned astrologer, Pam Gregory, uses an egg as a metaphor to describe this moment. The shell represents the boundary and patterns we are stuck in, typified by Saturn. Invisible are the changes occurring within the egg, where most of the energy is focused. This year the shell begins to break open... Don't pay attention to the demolition but focus on breaking free.
2023 will be especially active for all fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius). Tension is growing among these signs forcing a turnaround. These signs don't like change but now is the time to make decisions and take action for a new direction.
Right now the Earth is moving through a photonic belt, a far-away black hole is bombarding the earth with a strong stream of light and the Sun is sending flares in energy. If you are feeling a little tired, or out-of-sorts know that the frequencies are upgrading quickly, and be gentle with yourself. Reality is shifting frequency.

Saturn in Pisces - Manifest a Dream - March 7
Saturn (Control) finishes his Aquarian romp and if you worked hard he will provide a reward before moving on to mystical, compassionate Pisces on March 7. Saturn is easier to work with as we age but don't let the past keep you from awakening to what is possible. It would be wise to use Saturn to harness your imagination and make real progress manifesting a dream, or take real steps toward personal renewal and regeneration. For those of you who are Pisces Sun/Moon or Pisces Rising - Saturn may bring lessons that test your faith or show you places boundaries are weak. Self-sacrifice and victims are lessons of Pisces, be clear you aren’t deluded and test the integrity of any teacher, people, or causes you join. Take your time, and move cautiously and carefully.
Speaking of boundaries, expect illusions of boundaries, and controlling them to grow murkier. Our greatest resource is each other and once we admit this, things will fall into order. In 2022, we exceeded 30 million refugees worldwide — an escalation of what was already the highest number of refugees on record. Driven by extreme violence, political instability, drought, and famine people are on the move. The outer world immigration issues will continue to stress order. Saturn in Pisces, hopefully, will help organize structures to deal compassionately with these issues. Industries that will face integrity woes, integrity tests, and restrictions: hospitals and healthcare, prisons, old age homes, institutional religions, charitable organizations, and foreign debt.
Pluto in Aquarius - Hope can Transform - March 23
Pluto (Power) moves into young, forward-thinking Aquarius. Power plays, scandals, and wealth will focus on social justice, technology, aviation, space exploration, energy, and humanitarian ideals emerge. Companies and big players in these areas will undergo complete transformations. Power shifts to visionary ideals, hope, and reaching for the stars. Pluto moves slowly and doesn't usually surprise, however, in Aquarius, the pace quickens, and impatience grows. Plutocrats in power can topple even if it seems unlikely. Young leaders emerge and strong females rise during this Plutonian phase. Innovative technologic advances (AI), new car technology, and robotics will refine over the next two years and likely move into our lives by 2025 when Uranus moves into Gemini.
Artificial Intelligence has become another consciousness now. We are witnessing a unique moment in our evolutionary development. We have created a completely new consciousness and introduced it to the earth. It is quicker, knows more about you- than even you are aware, and has no discernment of truth. It is for humanity without being concerned about the welfare of humanity at all. A perfect description of Aquarius. So far humans have created 3 things, economics, god, and artificial intelligence- and Man does not understand any of them!
Now for the bad news, unfortunately, the darker side of technology will be on display. Dare I say it, Social Media Companies and Tech companies are now the government. Current cultural wars will likely become literal, reshaping political parties, borderlines, and identities. Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius is in earthy Taurus, this combo increases the probability of volcanic activity and earthquakes, protests about resources and land. Remember, Pluto deconstructs and displays the ugly so it may be transformed. I trust the compassion of Pisces and the hopefulness of Aquarius to soften the blows. Especially, after the last election tempered the storm, giving us a reason to be grateful. A renewal is upon us.
Jupiter in Aries and Taurus - Pioneering ideas take root
Jupiter (Blessings) moves into earthy, careful Taurus (May 16) to build what was creatively envisioned while Jupiter was in Aries. After speeding through several fiery enthusiasms while Jupiter was in Aries, you may be ready to settle on one or two of these dreams. You’ll want to sink into their fertile soil and cultivate something lasting. Jupiter will expand the earth's issues around food and agriculture. The next year may look to solve the problems of food deserts and expand programs to reuse food. On the negative side, expect disruptions in agriculture brought on by drought and higher food prices.
Venus Retrograde in Leo - Redesigning Pleasure
The goddess of love and beauty takes the reins of the lion. Leo is leading with the heart, childlike wonder, and soaking up the limelight. Step into the limelight and tame the power of the lion.
Investments are poised to do a reversal during this period. Along with surprise relationship break-ups and reconciliations among actors and celebrities.
The entertainment industry, especially movies take a hit this summer, with an unexpected movie becoming a smash hit. Of course, women and children are impacted by Venus and Leo. So issues related to them will surface.
On a personal note, an old love may show up at your door, or friends from the past. With Leo activating our love and luxury, lead with your heart, be creative, and play, play, play. It will be a hot, hot summer.
Lunar Nodes shift into Aries/Libra - July 17
The Lunar nodes are shifting the story to the balance between our solo drives vs. our interpersonal relationships. Extreme self-interest meets the sword of justice as we attempt to find a middle path between brave pioneering and consideration for others.
In Eastern Astrology, 2023 is the year of the Water Rabbit.
“The overall energy has people looking for a more balanced life, making clever use of opportunities while creating space for self-regeneration." A gentle animal like the rabbit pairs well with intuitive water providing a confirming signal that this year is for individuality, courage, and renewal. The very same message of Jupiter in Aries, calling for new voices to rise over the old gatekeepers.
By the end of January, the planets begin to move forward ending their retrograde motion one by one. The year picks up speed and things lurch forward. February, March, and April have no retrograde planets providing a leap forward the path before you is clear. This isn't a time to be rehashing the past or lingering on what didn't work before, envision the future.
March starts a high-frequency shift, get ready. This is a turning point followed quickly by Eclipses on April 20 and May 5.
